Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

We finally had a chance to go to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi (the 8th largest in the world!) on a weekday because of Spring Vacation. Yay! It was pretty impressive--HUGE and reminded me of the Taj Mahal. Turns out, it was actually inspired by Mughal design and architecture--so that explains that!

This clock is cool--it has the sunrise time and then all the times for the five calls to prayer:

(It switches between the words in Arabic, English and the times. Does that make sense?)
